If you’ve had close contact with someone who has COVID and you’re not fully vaccinated, stay at home and away from others quarantine for five days after the exposure. Then wear a mask for five more days. If you can’t quarantine, wear a mask for 10 days. Try to stay away from people in your household. If you have symptoms, self-isolate. If you have had COVID in the last three months or gotten all recommended vaccine doses, including boosters and additional primary shots, you generally don’t need to quarantine.

But wear a mask for 10 days. If you’ve received the recommended vaccine doses but not a booster, stay home for five days. Get tested after at least five days. And wear a mask for five more days.
